What you’ll be doing: Fabrication and Installation Training Learn to fabricate and install sub-assemblies and major assemblies using tools for marking out, thermal cutting, and welding. Structural Assembly and Equipment Operation Build components like shell plates, decks, and bulkheads, and operate overhead cranes, chain blocks, and hydraulic pumps to erect major units. Technical Drawing Interpretation Develop skills in reading steelwork drawings, engineering symbols, and conventions to guide precise fabrication and outfitting tasks.
