Introduction
Our client, a key player in the UK nuclear industry, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician with active SC Clearance to support critical project work on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a high-security, safety-critical environment, contributing to the maintenance and delivery of essential electrical systems within the nuclear sector.
What will I be doing?
Get hands-on with a wide range of electrical tasks, all delivered to the high standards expected in the nuclear industry
Make safety your top priority-ensuring every task is completed in line with strict health and safety regulations
Carry out support installation, modification, EMIT (examination, maintenance, inspection & test), decommissioning tasks as required
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults with confidence, helping to minimise downtime and keep projects on track
Keep clear and accurate records of your work, and regularly update the team on progress and any key findings
What do I need to succeed?
You'll need active SC Clearance as a minimum-and be eligible for DV Clearance
You're a fully qualified electrician with an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) under your belt
You bring over 5 years of hands-on electrical experience, with at least 2 of those in the nuclear sector
You know your way around complex electrical systems and have a solid grasp of industry-standard procedures
You're confident working in high-security, high-integrity environments where precision and compliance matter
