Social Work is a regulated profession in Newfoundland and Labrador, requiring registration with the Canadian Association of Social Workers (https://www.casw-acts.ca/en/internationally-educated/assessment-international-credentials). You will need a Bachelor or Masters in Social work or or equivalent demonstrated by an Educational Credential Assessment.
Once you have successfully obtained registration please contact attraction@gov.nl.ca, include a copy of your registration approval and your resume, with the subject line "AstronautJobs - Social Work NL". We can then connect you with employers in the province.
Once you have obtained your registration with CASW you will also need to register with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW)
The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) is a division under the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills.
OIM assists skilled workers, international graduates and entrepreneurs in obtaining permanent residency in Canada via provincial immigration pathways - the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
OIM also assists local employers who are experiencing workforce challenges in recruiting and retaining qualified skilled candidates via the NLPNP and the AIP.
