Job title: Summer Intern Electronic Systems Manufacturing Engineer 

Location: Rochester (Kent). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 5 days per week.

Salary: £25,900 (pro-rata)

Role description 

As a Summer Intern you will play a pivotal role in supporting the manufacturing system of our products. Working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and Engineering you will develop knowledge and experiences to support continuous process improvement as well as developing innovative manufacturing solutions.
 
Core duties 

•    Supporting the creation of appropriate department documentation.
•    Day to day support of our manufacturing cells including continuous improvement of cell layouts and processes.
•    Responsible for developing innovative process solutions for implementing continuous improvement.
•    Developing ad-hoc skills around tooling design, supporting additive manufacturing (i.e 3D printing) and CAD skills (AutoCAD, CREO)
•    Liaising with other technical departments to resolve manufacturing challenges.
•    Utilising structured problem solving techniques to overcome manufacturing issues.

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics or Product Design.
