Job title: Graduate Head Office Cyber Security

Location: Frimley, Stirling Square, Preston or Glasgow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-4 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 Per Annum + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

Role description 

You will be part of the Group Cyber Assurance team, helping to strengthen BAE Systems’ cyber security posture across both IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments. In this role, you will support Level 2 (L2) assurance and compliance activities, contributing to the coordination, oversight, and monitoring of compliance initiatives across the organisation. You will also play a key role in providing second-line oversight and ensuring readiness for audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Core Duties 

•    Support the Compliance manager in oversighting cybersecurity compliance activities across Sectors and EIT.
•    Be part of cybersecurity control testing programmes, collecting and reviewing data.
•    Support the Group Cyber assurance with developing and delivering the L2 assurance oversight to ensure compliance and control effectiveness.
•    Engage with subject matter experts from different functions to help define Cyber Security strategy for Manufacturing and help facilitate the Manufacturing Cyber working group.
•    Develop guidance documents and processes to help define cyber security practices within cyber assurance.
•    Provide admin support to the team in setting up meetings and collaborations between stakeholders and team members.
•    Work as part of a dynamic team safeguarding BAE Systems infrastructure against cyber security threats.

All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.

Qualification requirements

As a minimum requirement you must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in the following subjects: IT, Business, Cyber, or Finance.
