Job Description
Milton Keynes College have a new vacancy for a Student Support and Recruitment Worker to join the education team based at HMP Fosse Way. The Student Support Recruitment Worker will act as an ambassador, promoting education to maximise the recruitment of students onto the departments learning programmes, liaising with and supporting prison-based learners with their learning goals.
You will be a confident and effective communicator – able to engage groups of prospective learners; promoting the value of learning and skills, ensuring the information is clear and impactful. As a successful Student Support and Recruitment Worker, you will provide appropriate guidance to students when selecting courses and support the education allocation process by delivering a range of ICT/paper based initial assessment and screening assessments.
You will also be responsible for administrative processes, data entry and maintenance related to the learning experience. You will be actively involved in all aspects of student recruitment and programme marketing, working in partnership with Serco colleagues and other agencies to develop and deliver support services for our learners.

Milton Keynes College Group was formed in 2021, with the mission of Building Fairer Futures. The College Group includes 1,200 colleagues who work across MK College, the South Central Institute of Technology (SCIoT) Bletchley, our prison education services in 30 prisons and MK Commercial which comprises The Brasserie restaurant, Sport Central, Courtside and the Chaffron Centre.
