Student Support Mentor (SEMH)

The Young People You'll Meet Won't Remember Every Lesson.

But they'll remember the people who never gave up on them.

As a Student Support Mentor, you'll become one of those people.

Working within specialist SEMH schools, PRUs, Alternative Provision academies and community-based programmes, you'll support young people aged 11-19 who may have experienced trauma, disrupted education or significant barriers to learning.

You'll help them rebuild confidence.

Develop resilience.

Celebrate progress.

And believe that education still has a place in their future.

You'll provide:

• Encouragement towards independence Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists and specialist staff, you'll become an important part of each young person's journey.

• Wigan Requirements You'll need at least one year's experience supporting young people with SEMH, EBD or complex needs within education, youth work or community settings.

An Enhanced DBS, Level 2 Safeguarding, DBS Update Service registration, two professional references and the right to work in the UK are essential.
