Job Description:

As an Integration Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of all Domain & Requirements Mission Systems Engineering activities as part of the FCAS/GCAP programme.

Core duties:

  • Managing Agile planning, tasking and reporting processes
  • Leading the technical delivery of Technology Development activities being undertaken by strategic partners
  • Supporting Quality & Performance Improvement initiatives within the Sensing & Non-Kinetic Effects Team (SANKE)
  • Sensing & Non-Kinetic Effect System Design/development with associated areas, including Mission Data, Mission Management, Through Life Support, Safety-Airworthiness, Security, Interoperation, Engineering & Test
  • Leading the Sensing & Non-Kinetic Effects Integration team with responsibility for two team members
  • Holding key relationships with key strategic partners relating to international and national programmes

Essential Skills:

  • A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience
  • Systems / integration engineering and engineering lifecycle experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering methods and tools (e.g. UML/SysML, MoDAF, MOOD, Matlab)
  • Experience of leading and managing engineering teams

The Mission Systems Delivery Team:

You will be part of the Mission Systems Delivery Team (MSDT) delivering the Assessment Phase of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme. The team uses an agile work planning process to develop mission system concept options, architectures and designs for the various components of a future combat air system.
