Inside Sales Representative

Job Description

The Sales Representative
will be responsible for managing smaller aerospace accounts along with orderbook,
as well as driving sales growth. This role requires a combination of sales and customer
relationship management, to ensure long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate
will have a understanding of aerospace hardware, supply chain logistics and
manufacturers. Responsibilities include developing sales and quoting
strategies, maintaining a healthy book of business, and ensuring on-time
delivery of products. This position requires strong communication,
problem-solving, and the ability to travel (up to 25%) to customer sites and
industry events.

Roles/Responsibilities

Account Management:

  • Serve as the primary
    point of contact for assigned aerospace clients, managing both strategic
    sales initiatives and long-term programs.
  • Coordinate
    cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, engineering, and
    logistics, to meet customer expectations.
  • Track Key Performance
    Indicators (KPIs) for account and program success, including revenue growth,
    on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify new business
    opportunities, generate leads, and expand market share within the aerospace
    sector.
  • Develop and present
    customized sales quotes that align with customer needs and business
    objectives.
  • Support pricing
    discussions, contract negotiations, and long-term agreements to secure
    profitable deals

  • Identify upsell and
    cross-sell opportunities within existing programs to increase account
    revenue.

Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination:
  • Work closely with
    procurement and supply chain teams to ensure inventory availability aligns
    with customer programs and contractual agreements.
  • Monitor supply chain risks, such as material
    shortages, lead time fluctuations, and regulatory compliance issues

Customer Support:
  • Drive issue resolution
    related to product availability, quality concerns, and delivery timelines

  • Provide regular
    updates and performance reports to both internal stakeholders and customers.

  • Ensure compliance with
    aerospace regulations (AS9100, ITAR, DFARS) and contractual obligations for
    all managed programs.

  • Represent the company at
    aerospace industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to strengthen
    relationships and enhance program visibility


Requirements

Education:
  • 2+ years of equivalent
    work experience in sales, account management, or aerospace distribution may
    be considered.
  • Additional
    certifications in sales, contract negotiation, or aerospace standards (e.g.,
    AS9100, ISO 9001) are a plus.

Skills:

  • Industry Knowledge:
    Expertise in aerospace hardware, including fasteners, bearings, and
    electronic components.
  • Sales &
    Negotiation: Proven ability to drive B2B sales, negotiate contracts, and
    close high-value deals with aerospace OEMs, MROs, and suppliers.
  • Customer Relationship
    Management: Strong ability to build, maintain, and grow key accounts through
    proactive engagement.
  • Risk & Issue
    Management: Strong ability to identify potential risks in supply chain
    operations, delivery schedules, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Market &
    Competitive Analysis: Ability to analyze industry trends, pricing structures,
    and competitor strategies.
  • Communication &
    Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills for proposals,
    presentations, and program updates.

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily
    office-based, but requires travel (up to 25%) to customer sites, trade shows,
    and industry events.
  • Ability to sit, stand,
    and use a computer for extended periods
  • May involve light lifting
    (up to 25 lbs.) for product demonstrations or trade show materials
