Data & Customer Retention Student Assistant (Marketing)

Job Description

Do you spot the one number in Excel that doesn't add up, and then get ideas for how to fix the process behind it? Then keep reading.

European Lifecare Group runs private clinics, corporate vaccination programmes, and government contracts in Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK, and Sweden. In Group Marketing, we work data-driven with customer acquisition, retention, and customer experience (CX), and we are looking for a structured student assistant to help improve our customer retention flows and keep our numbers sharp.

You will work directly with our Group Customer Experience & Lifecycle Manager while we build out our automation and data framework. Until it's fully in place, much of the work is hands-on: pulling exports, cleaning data in Excel, and importing it where it needs to go. But that is also where the opportunity is; you'll be part of the journey from manual to automated, being close enough to spot what to automate next, and gradually shift your time from maintaining the numbers to working with them.

This is a role for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy and practical problem-solving. It is not a job where you only "help with a bit of marketing". You will work with real customer data, real management reporting and real retention activities across four countries.

What you will learn and be trusted with

  • Help set up and maintain our retention emails: building emails in our marketing automation platform, cleaning and structuring data in Excel, and testing that everything works before send. It's hands-on, precise work, and it's what keeps everything else running

  • Maintain, update and participate in improving KPI sheets covering retention and customer experience across our four markets. These are shared with management teams, so accuracy and clarity matter

  • Prepare customer data for Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and retention analysis (cleaning, matching, and structuring exports from our medical journal systems)

  • Be responsible for our A/B testing library: logging tests across email, web, and campaigns, documenting results, and keeping learnings organised

  • Why this job is worth your two daysReal responsibility from day one: your work will be used in reporting and decision-making across four countries

  • You will learn how customer data is turned into retention actions, customer experience improvements and commercial insights

  • You will be part of building an automation and data framework in a growing healthcare group and you will help shape our future

  • A workplace where we encourage smarter ways of working, and responsible use of AI can be part of that

  • You will get hands-on experience with tools and methods within the full retention toolkit: CRM, marketing automation, CLV analysis, and A/B testing

  • Flexibility that respects your studies

Who you are

  • Studying business, economics, marketing, or something data/analytics-oriented

  • Strong in Excel, or genuinely eager to learn it (XLOOKUP and pivot tables are your daily tools here)

  • Precise, structured and self-driven: you double-check before you send, and you can own a recurring task and deliver on deadline

  • You solve problems and improve as you go: you look for solutions before escalating, make decisions within your own tasks, and speak up when you spot a smarter way

  • Comfortable in corporate English (our working language)

Practical details

  • 16-20 hours per week, preferably as two full days, but we're flexible (also around your exam periods)

  • Start: August or September 2026

  • Location: Our Copenhagen office is preferred, but working from home is possible when needed

  • Salary: [per hour, according to qualifications / standard student assistant terms]

How to apply

Instead of a long cover letter, feel free to tell us in a few lines about why you can help us keep our data in order and improve customer retention. We start reviewing applications in August 2026 and hold interviews on a rolling basis.
