NST Instructor – Electricity Technician (Radar)

Grade: 6

Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering Naval Specialist Training (NST) at the Technical Institute for Naval Studies (TINS). Specifically, the post holder will be responsible for delivery of common content for all NST streams and Electricity Technician (Radar) (ET(R)) stream specific content.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The post holder is responsible for:

  • Delivering Naval Speciality Training curriculum, in particular, Electricity Technician (Radar) specific elements.

  • Supporting invigilation activities for assessments.

  • Supporting remedial training activities.

  • Writing assessment materials.

  • Supporting the continuous improvement of courseware materials and media.

  • Writing trainee reports as required to meet customer requirements.

  • Operate to a standard of absolute integrity and professionalism.

  • Ensure the completion of any other reasonable request by the NST Management Team, which aligns with Company business.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

Essential

NST EE

Education

  • Graduate of advanced military trade schools, industrial equivalents or relevant educational establishments.

  • Successfully completed an accredited Instructional Techniques course.

Experience

  • Substantial practical experience in their speciality.

  • Recent instructional experience.

NST SN

Education

  • Graduate of advanced military trade schools, industrial equivalents or relevant educational establishments.

  • Successfully completed an accredited Instructional Techniques course, plus either:

a) A valid IELTS certificate (gained in the last two years) showing an average band score of 5.0 with no pillar less than 4.0.

b) A CEFR level of B1. If this is demonstrated through the British Council Aptis, it shall be valid for one (1) year only with no pillar less than B1 and Speaking and Listening pillars must achieve a minimum of B2.

Experience

  • Substantial practical experience in their speciality.

  • Recent instructional experience.

Desirable

The post holder should:

  • Have completed a FACET training course.
