JOB PURPOSE
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The purport of the job role is for managing the Superintendent PCU operators ATC/WD in providing realistic simulations of ATC / WD Operations in an Aerodrome, Non Radar Approach Control, Radar Approach Control and Air Defence Operations. Supporting the Head of Technical Studies Training, The Manager Air Traffic Control Training and The Manager of Weapons Director Training in the administration and management of the Technical Studies Training Department. Managing the Procedures and Processes to meet the mandates of the KFAA Academic Wing Examination Control and Records Office whilst meeting the requirements of the KFAA Study and Test Regulations. Managing and controlling the Examination Records of the Royal Saudi Air Force Trainees. Air Traffic Controller and Weapons Director Officer Cadets. You will also manage and Support the Technical Studies Simulator Technicians in their respective roles.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
· The Technical Studies Simulator and Support Manager is to:
· Manage the production and evaluation of Technical Studies Training (TST) simulator exercises in conjunction with the TST Instructional Staff and TST Pilot Control Unit Operators of the ATC/WD simulators.
· Managing the training of the Saudi National Technical Training Program (SNTTP) from Ab-Initio to Qualification stage for TST PCU Operators.
· Manage the conversion training of PCU Operators within the Air Traffic Control (ATC) and Weapons Director (WD) Simulator operations.
· Lead the preparation of timetables, scheduling of and TST Pilot Control Unit Operators
· using the TMIS and FlighPro Systems.
· Manage All the TST Simulator updates as provided by the manufacturer.
· Apply Company procedures for configuration control of Examination and Results.
· Management and development of the database of TST training results to assist in
· the continual assessment of RSAF Officer Cadets.
· Manage the in-house demonstration of TST simulators operations to include all
· Aircraft and Vehicle Models, Airspace Data, Weather and operational Exercises.
· Manage the training and induction of Saudi Nationals into the roles of the
· TST Pilot Control Unit Operators.
· Manage the, induction, development and audit of TST Pilot Unit Operator related
· issues regarding the operation of the TST simulators ensuring standards are
· maintained in accordance with ICAO, GACA and RSAF TST procedures.
· Use the TMIS / LMS system to maintain accurate, up to date, comprehensive,orderly
· and easily accessible training records.
· Direct the preparation of timetables, scheduling and allocation of TST Pilot Control Unit Operators.
· Administer the acquisition, allocation, maintenance and use of training resources including textbooks, workbooks, classrooms, laboratories, training devices, and consumables.
· Direct and lead the TST simulator operators to provide an environment that encourages independent learning and a military ethos.
· Administer feedback to management to improve service performance and responsiveness and identify opportunities.
· Manage and Conduct Electronic Personnel Development Reviews (E-PDR) for the Superintendent PCU Operators ATC/WD.
· Complete an Electronic Personnel Development Reviews (E-PDR) annually.
· Administer compliance with the BAE Systems SHE policy and processes and Duty of Care responsibilities.
· Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company.
· Adhere to acceptable standards of behaviour, dress and performance as defined in Company policy.
· Any other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Company.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
The Job Holder is required to have expert knowledge and experience of the following:
· ATC or WD Simulator Management and Operations at the KFAA within the
· Air Traffic Control / Weapons Director Training Departments.
· Extensive proven experience in Operational ATC/WD Simulation at the Technical Studies Squadron, with proven experience as a Superintendent PCU Operator in either the Air Traffic Control (ATC) or Weapons Director (WD) simulations is essential.
· ATC Simulator Operations trainer experience within ATC Simulations at an
· Academic, Aviation Training Organization or Air Navigation Service Provider.
· Completion of an Instructional Techniques Course.
Technical Studies Simulator and Support Manager is to have the following
· qualifications and experience:
· Extensive proven Operational Simulator experience as a PCU Operator ATC superintendent within ATC training disciplines of 2D / 3D Visual Tower, Radar Approach Control and Non Radar approach Control Simulator operations within the last three years.
· Demonstrated ATC Simulator Operations trainer experience within ATC Simulations at an
· Academic, Aviation Training Organization or Air Navigation Service Provider.
· Knowledge and experience of ATC Regulations, Procedures and Flight Deck Operations.
· Served at the KFAA as a Superintendent PCU Operator ATC proven experience
Or
· Extensive proven Operational Simulator experience as a PCU Operator WD
· Superintendent within WD Simulator training disciplines with substantial proven
experience
· Demonstrated WD Simulator Operations trainer experience within WD Simulations at
· an Academic, Aviation Training Organization Provider.
· Knowledge and experience of WD Regulations, Procedures and Flight Deck Operations.
· Served at the KFAA as a Superintendent PCU Operator WD with substantial proven experience
