Corrosion Control Specialist

Responsibilities

· Identification and treatment of corrosion found on aircraft components and structures.

· Removes corrosion using chemical and mechanical techniques.

· Perform metal etching.

· Surface preparation and application of primers and surface coats.

· Uses corrosion detection, measuring, metal identification and special cleaning, treatment and application equipment.

· Prepares and accurately completes maintenance documentation and reports.

· Maintains equipment specific to job role.

· Be an active member of a diverse team within TMSC consisting of personnel from different social backgrounds and technical trades.

· Responsible for reporting and encouraging expedient Error Management Reporting, addressing or highlighting any safety concerns and failings immediately.

· Assist within their area-of-responsibility with regards to audits and act when called upon to take responsibility for addressing / retifying any audit findings.

· Identify and enact opportunities to improve and enhance the delivery of the TSS service and encourage a Continuous Improvement culture.

Job Requirements:

· A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA,OR Part 66 licensed (current or lapsed), or suitable equivalent technical license acceptable to M&CA.

· Have at least 5 years post qualification relevant experience supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training or successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/ TSNTTP)..

· Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.

· Understand and use Maintenance GoldESP system or similar platform.

· Be fully conversant with the interpretation of technical diagrams and Documentation.

· Demonstrate knowledge / understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.

· Saudi Council of Engineering (SCE) Registration.

· Broad Aerospace and Defence company / industry knowledge.
