Role Description:

As a Senior Systems Administrator, the successful candidate will be a key technical SME within Infrastructure Operations – Enterprise Services. This position involves working through team rotations, focusing on providing support, sustainment, and delivery of core infrastructure systems. The primary focus will be on on-premises Red Hat systems, but there will also be exciting opportunities to work on our new Azure Platform as we continue our journey towards a Hybrid Cloud model. For those with a strong interest in administrating and securing RedHat Operating Systems, this role promises plenty of scope for growth and technical challenge.

Core Duties:

  • Providing service call support to internal customers meeting agreed resolution times
  • Working with the Systems Administration Manager to ensure sustainment activities are planned and executed with a focus on RedHat and Oracle Linux Systems.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Processes (SOP’s) are in place and maintained for our Services
  • Seek to maximize our efficiency in support of the business by making use of automation technologies including Ansible Automation Platform
  • Take a leading technical role in the delivery of Infrastructure Operations Services including the deployment of new operating systems and server platforms in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues
  • Ensuring security best practices and processes are followed in support, sustainment and delivery operations

About You

  • Extensive experience in the Red Hat Administration space is considered highly desirable
  • Experience with Defence Security frameworks is considered advantageous
  • Experience working with Ansible and/ or Satellite experience is considered desirable
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV 2 Clearance
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
