Role: Admissions Assistant – Summer Associate – X2 roles

Location: 1 role at our Kettering Campus (with occasional travel to Wellingborough Campus) and 1 role at our Corby Campus.

Salary: Salary is £12.71 per hour.

Hours/Weeks: 32 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term – Part Time – Fixed until 25 September 2026

About the role:

We are currently seeking two Admissions Assistants to join our Customer Contact and Admissions department at The Bedford College Group asSummer Associates.

As an Admissions Assistant, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Admissions & Enrolment Support – Provide high‑quality, inclusive support during peak summer enrolment, assisting with face‑to‑face enrolment events and ensuring a smooth applicant experience.
  • Customer Service & FrontofHouse– Welcome applicants, offer clear guidance at Help Desks and events, and deliver excellent customer service throughout the admissions journey.
  • Data Accuracy & Administration – Collect, process and update applicant data accurately, support pre‑enrolment checks, and maintain data integrity within student record systems.
  • CrossTeam Collaboration & Flexibility– Work flexibly across campuses and departments to resolve queries, support onboarding and contribute to continuous improvement of admissions processes.
  • Compliance, Safeguarding & Professional Practice – Follow College policies on safeguarding, EDI, health & safety and training, contributing positively to the Marketing, Communications & Student Recruitment Directorate.

About you:

  • Qualifications & Administrative Experience – Good standard of education with GCSE English and maths (A–C/4+), and demonstrable experience in an administrative role meeting targets and deadlines.
  • Customer Service & Confidentiality – Experience working in busy, customer‑facing environments, with strong understanding of GDPR, confidentiality and professional handling of sensitive information.
  • Organisation, IT & Adaptability – Highly organised with strong attention to detail, excellent IT skills, and the ability to learn new systems quickly while working under pressure.
  • Communication, Teamwork & Professionalism – Friendly, confident communicator able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, maintain professional behaviour and promote the organisation’s reputation.
  • Safeguarding, Flexibility & Mobility – Committed to safeguarding and maintaining appropriate boundaries, with a flexible approach to work patterns and the ability to travel independently across college campuses.
