Responsibilities
· Act as the Senior Logistics Advisor to the Logistics Wing Commander on all requested Supply Chain issues.
· Provide professional advice to the RSAF on Supply “best” practice.
· Interact with all customers and Supply Chain partners. Manage/Attend both internal and external meetings as required the RSAF.
· Strategic Level provision of professional generic logistics policy, planning and management advice and assistance.
· Analyse and communicate concerns on identified Supply Chain issues, likely to impact at any level.
· Provide advice on identified generic SHE implications, related to any tasks as directed by Logistics Wing Commander, or designated deputy(s).
· Provide Line management to CMS supply staff within the Logistics wing organisation
· Any other duties as required by the customer.
Job Requirements:
· Minimum of 20 years practical experience in Supply and Logistics.
· Previous senior, command, experience in air force logistics organization.
· Minimum of 2 years procurement experience at a headquarters or air force procurement organization.
· Minimum of 10 years practical experience of working with air force automated data processing (ADP) systems.
· Weapon System, logistical, support management within past 5 years.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership competencies, and motivational attributes across all levels of the business, vendors and the customer community.
· Must be able to demonstrate a firm grasp of the RSAF command structure with knowledge of GOLD Supply system based on previous ADP experience.
· Practical project management experience at senior level.
· If the candidate is Military, he must be a Supply Ex-Officer. If the candidate is (SN) Civilian, he must have a college degree, CIPS professional qualification, and Project Management is desirable.
· Advanced practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· Full Driving licence
· Post graduate qualification in a relevant area (e.g. MBA) or equivalent.
· Command of deployed/detached forces.
· Procurement experience. Budget controls and long term provisioning and financial planning or working within strict financial budgets.
· Practical experience of Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
