Job Description
*Job Overview*
We are seeking a skilled HGV TECHNICIAN/ FITTER to join our expanding team in our brand new workshop.
This position is for an experienced Fitter ready to bring their skills and experience to the business - this is NOT a position for an unexperienced new starter unfortunately.
Ideal candidate must have relevant qualifications and be able to provide certificates, full driving licence and must have some experience working on 8 wheeled tippers.
Class 1/2 HGV licence not essential but would be desirable.
This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment. The Technician/ Fitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all products meet company standards.
*Responsibilities*
* Carry out all mechanical work to HGV Tipper lorry's (Scania, Volvo fleet) ensuring they are road worthy and fit for purpose
* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
* Conduct inspections and break testing to ensure they meet standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Communicate with team members to improve processes and resolve any issues that arise during production.
*Skills*
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
* Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
* Solid mechanical knowledge, enabling effective troubleshooting of equipment issues.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
