Responsibilities
Determines the Serviceability of Vehicle Systems:
Determines the overall condition of the vehicle, the causes of any malfunctions and the need for repair.
Analyzes malfunctions by visual and auditory examination, operation and the use of the appropriate test equipment.
Isolates the causes of vehicle malfunctions by the systematic analysis of the vehicle.
Inspects, tests, troubleshoots and analyzes the vehicle engine mechanical systems; crankcase ventilating systems; exhaust emission and anti-pollution systems; lubricating, cooling, air conditioning and exhaust systems; engine electrical systems; engine fuel-air system; power train; brakes; steering and suspension systems.
