The EW Advisor is responsible to the QEAF EW Commander for the provision of advice and guidance on the production and maintenance of Typhoon Mission Data (MD) and general EW matters. They are responsible for the planning and co-ordination aspects of Typhoon EW based activities to support QEAF Typhoon Operations, providing integral day-to-day support. The EW Advisor will provide EW MD lifecycle guidance helping to ensure that Typhoon MD and associated processes are ‘fit for purpose’, articulating risks to the EW Commander to ensure confidence and understanding of Typhoon EW capability. The post holder will be an experienced and skilled Avionic Technician and Supervisor undertaking a range of detailed maintenance activities on aircraft or aircraft components. The post holder requires an excellent understanding of the approved data set and is competent to supervise personnel carrying out maintenance instructions in accordance with the organisation’s regulatory framework. He is responsible for tasking of work & supervision of personnel/people management. Responsible for meeting agreed delivery targets at a tactical level.  Demonstrates people management and leadership skills.
