The EW Advisor is responsible to the QEAF EW Commander for the provision of advice and guidance on the production and maintenance of Typhoon Mission Data (MD) and general EW matters. They are responsible for the planning and co-ordination aspects of Typhoon EW based activities to support QEAF Typhoon Operations, providing integral day-to-day support. The EW Advisor will provide EW MD lifecycle guidance helping to ensure that Typhoon MD and associated processes are ‘fit for purpose’, articulating risks to the EW Commander to ensure confidence and understanding of Typhoon EW capability. The post holder will report to the Mechanicals Junior Supervisor and be an experienced and skilled Mechanical technician, undertaking a range of detailed base maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft. The post holder requires an experience of maintenance on the Typhoon, understanding of approved data set and is competent to carrying out maintenance instructions in accordance with the organisation’s regulatory framework. Demonstrates a distinct ability of trade knowledge of Typhoon aircraft and assemblies, follow diagnostic procedures and work effectively within a team. Core Activity: Undertaking detailed maintenance, inspection activities on the Typhoon Mechanical systems.
