Description
Job title: Advanced Apprentice Fabricator
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Starting from £18,667 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What you’ll be doing:
Fabrication and Installation Training Learn to fabricate and install sub-assemblies and major assemblies using tools for marking out, thermal cutting, and welding.
Structural Assembly and Equipment Operation Build components like shell plates, decks, and bulkheads, and operate overhead cranes, chain blocks, and hydraulic pumps to erect major units.
Technical Drawing Interpretation Develop skills in reading steelwork drawings, engineering symbols, and conventions to guide precise fabrication and outfitting tasks.
Health and Safety Expertise Gain extensive safety training in working at height, confined spaces, PPE usage, and dynamic risk assessment, progressing toward the Gold Passport standard.
