Key Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
Measure, mark, cut, shape, and assemble lumber and other building materials.
Construct and install wood framing for walls, floors, roofs, ceilings, doors, and other structural components.
Frame interior and exterior walls according to plans and building requirements.
Install floor joists, roof trusses, rafters, beams, headers, and other structural components.
Install and modify framing around windows, doors, stairs, and other openings.
Perform rough carpentry work for residential construction and renovation projects.
Verify measurements, levels, plumb lines, and dimensions to ensure accurate installation.
Use hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, nail guns, and other carpentry equipment safely.
Assist with demolition, renovation, repair, and alteration of existing structures.
