We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Banksman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing vehicle and plant movements on site, ensuring operations are carried out safely and efficiently at all times.
Salary range is £15-£16.00 per hour, depending on qualification and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely guide and direct vehicles on site
- Communicate clearly with drivers and operators using approved signals
- Maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel
- Monitor site access and ensure safe traffic flow
- Assist with loading and unloading activities where required
- Report any hazards, near misses, or safety concerns promptly
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Banksman or in a similar role preferred
- NPORS qualification (desirable)
- Good understanding of site safety procedures
- Strong communication and awareness skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Punctual, reliable, and attentive to detail
