Job Description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team, supporting our unique afternoon tea bus experience. This is a night shift role, ideal for someone who is organised, efficient and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Prepare fresh sandwiches and wraps to a high standard

Assemble food items according to menu specifications and presentation guidelines

Ensure food is produced efficiently to support smooth service

Consistently deliver high-quality picture-perfect food

Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times

Assist with general kitchen prep and cleaning duties

Wash and polish plates, cutlery, flutes and glassware

Keep workstations and equipment clean, tidy and well-organised

Manage your own prep, service, and clean-down responsibilities

Support stock rotation and assist with deliveries

Follow all kitchen SOPs and hygiene procedures

 

Requirements

 

Willingness to work 7-9 hour night shifts

Previous experience in a similar kitchen role is desirable but not essential

Basic knife skills and understanding of food safety practices

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Punctual, reliable and well-presented
