Accountabilities:

Supporting Project and business activities and Assurance Professional tasks as directed by

the Senior Quality Professional or the Assurance Manager as the task requires. The

jobholder will be required to conduct audits and investigations into product/service and/or

process failures in line with business needs. Involvement in quality control, assurance and

governance are key accountabilities. Focus on Business Support and Functional Processes

and licencing and regulations for the operation of the business.

Responsibilities:

· The Assurance Professionalis responsible for supporting project /

business activities and tasks as directed by their line manager.

· Support and develop the Quality Management Systems (QMS) and

certification / approval,

· Support the OAS and Risk returns and assist in any Return to Green

Plans or improvement activities.

· Will be required to conduct audits, assessment and investigations into

product/service and/or process failures in line with business needs.

· Involvement in quality control, assurance and governance will occur in

line with business needs.

· As required, represent the Quality Department as business Quality

Professional assuring that external and contractual quality conditions

and company requirements, including Lifecycle Management (LCM)

requirements, are achieved. To undertake product/service certification

activities as necessary.

· As required, support and prepare audit plans and Quality Plans in line

with LCM requirements. Comprehensive reports are produced assuring

business activities are addressed to the customer’s satisfaction.

· As required, support the day-to-day liaison, tracking and reporting on

quality issues and resolutions through written reports and presentations.

· As required, assess business areas for compliance to quality

requirements, preform audits, report preparation/issue and follow-up

actions to agreed timescales.

· As required, carry out ‘Guide’ duties for 3rd / 2nd Party assessors and

resolve assessor queries as they arise.

· As required, assess with the preparation and delivery of related Quality

/ Assurance training.

· As required, responsible for reviewing quality documents for adequacy

and compliance to company/ISO requirements for specific projects and

provide detailed reports on project/functional quality documentation.

Job Requirements:

· The jobholder shall have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Quality

/ Assurance environment.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Recognised audit qualifications.

· He must have a working understanding of the current BAE Systems

Quality Management System, be knowledgeable of ISO 9001 Quality

Systems.

· No supervisory responsibility but the job is required to provide informal

technical support to new team members. On the job training refers to

training on the specific tasks required to perform the job effectively

and the procedures to follow.

· Proactive planning, organising and implementing tasks that are

required to ensure that BAE Systems quality standards conform

both with customer (internal & external) and regulatory body

requirements

· The role requires ability to make judgements based on practice and

previous experience. This necessitates the ability to assess the validity

and applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluate

options under circumstances that are not covered by policy or

procedures.

· The jobholder has a direct impact on the business through their

responsibility for the quality of the tasks performed or services

provided.

· The jobholder must be able to exchange ideas and information

effectively in a concise and logical way, and be sensitive to audience

diversity. The job holder may also require a degree of tact and

diplomacy when dealing with others.

· Should be able to report both verbal and written to external customers,

suppliers and internal customers pertaining to audits and fault

investigations as required.
