Location: Scotstoun. Onsite. Travel will be required to Portsmouth on occasion and on-board the ships for Sea Trials as necessary

Salary: Up to £56,465 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

The Combat Systems (CS) Integration Trials Engineer will provide engineering support to the T26 Integration Programme. As part of a team of Trials Engineers in Scotstoun, they will be conducting Functional Integration of the Combat System on the T26 Platforms and supporting the installation, setting to work, trials and acceptance of the Combat System.

This will include the Development, Conduct, Analysis and Support to Combat System Equipment Integration, Acceptance, Assurance and De-risking activities to be conducted at the Land Based Integration Facility (LBIF), Supplier’s sites and on-board ships.

Core duties:

Generate, deliver and review Acceptance, Assurance and Functional Integration Trial documentation (PINTS, SINTS and GINTS), incorporating relevant information from other platform integration packages such as T45, T23 and QEC. Support the preparation, conduct, analysis and reporting of trials to demonstrate Whole Ship and Integration Requirements for individual Combat System equipment within the wider system. Provide leadership during interface diagnostics, fault finding and signal‑path continuity testing, while supporting the development of Early Careers personnel and subordinates in Functional Integration methods, tools and techniques.

  • Batchelor’s degree with honours (or other qualification plus appropriate further learning to honours degree level) in engineering, technology or science
  • Membership of a Professional Engineering Institute recognised by the Engineering Council
  • Working towards being Professionally Registered at IEng / CEng level

T26 Combat Systems Integration, Test & Trials (IT&T) Team:

As a Senior Integration Trials Engineer you will be taking ownership of integrating the next generation Combat System capability for Type26 – fit for purpose and fit for use.
