Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer

Location: Scotstoun, min 1 day/week on site, depending on business needs. Travel to supplier’s premises will be required.

Salary: Up to £49,522 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you will carry out supplier audits and product verifications while implementing Surveillance Plans, Quality Plans, and Inspection & Test Plans across the supply chain. You will assess supplier quality risk, review contractual quality requirements, and ensure readiness through Pre‑Production Reviews.

You will also ensure closure of supplier non‑conformances while identifying opportunities for improvement. Provide technical oversight by accurately interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, supporting consistent delivery of high‑quality products.

Core duties:

  • Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and performance
  • Perform product verifications against technical and contractual requirements
  • Implemention of Surveillance Plans, Quality Plans, and Inspection & Test Plans
  • Review and interpret contractual quality deliverables for accuracy and completeness
  • Analyse and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
  • Strong quality or technical engineering background
  • CQI membership advantageous

The Supplier Quality Assurance Team

The role of Senior Quality Engineer is to assure that HCFP Systems supply chain base are adhering to their quality assurance & control obligations. You will be responsible for the conduct of Hunter Class Supplier Quality Assurance activities and for providing support to the BAE Systems Australia Hunter Class resident team in the UK.
