PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
· Supporting the Project Safety Manager in the facilitation and co-ordination of safety and environmental all activities across Project in accordance with the requirements of the Project Safety & Environmental Management Plan.
· Implementation and ongoing maintenance of the Project Hazard Management System including the administration of the Hazard Log.
· Development and maintenance of the Project Hazard Management process.
· Co-ordination of the hazard management activities across the various teams that make up Project.
· Arranging Hazard Management Meetings ensuring all decisions are documented and a clear auditable trail established for all changes to the Hazard Log.
· Production and maintenance of Project Hazard Log Reports
· Facilitate the review of Customer safety related dependencies identified and captured in et Safety Dependencies Master List (SDML) by Project.
· Mapping of the Hazard Log into the Project Risk and Opportunity Log.
· Monitoring the deployment Hazard Management Meetings/Safety Working Groups across the various teams which make up Project.
· Monitoring and reporting on the Safety and Environmental metrics in place to measure the maturity of Safety & Environmental Management System across Project.
· Providing support to Customer meetings and internal reviews for related safety issues on behalf of the Safety Manager
· Deputising for the Project Safety Manager as required
· Ensuring that the appropriate safety standards are adhered to by all staff.
· Secretarial administration of the Project Safety & Environmental Safety Committee
· Coaching and developing less senior staff
Identification of the Key Stakeholders and forming strong working links with them
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
· Typically degree qualified to Honours degree level in a relevant engineering discipline and progressing towards chartered Engineer status.
· Experience of the development and application of engineering process and functional governance.
OR
· Seven to ten years relevant experience in an engineering role supporting Military aircraft programmes, maintenance and Project activities in UK and KSA
· Experienced in use of engineering management tool sets as required.
· Good understanding of Prime Contracting engineering, the Engineering Lifecycle and quality standards.
· Good understanding of functional Safety management processes and duty of care requirements associated with Prime Contracting.
· Understands the internal and external customer requirements.
· Understanding of Project management, managing sub-contractors and procurement.
· English Language ability to IELTS 6.0 or equivalent achieved within the last 2 years for non-native speakers
· Knowledge of SHE requirements & processes.
· Suitably skilled in the use of general IT software tools.
· Good Presentation skills and well-developed problem solving skills.
· Seek & share good practice & knowledge to continuously improve own practices, sharing knowledge & skills across projects & with functional colleagues.
