About Us
Amazon is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are driven by the excitement of building technologies, inventing products, and providing services that change lives. We embrace new ways of doing things, make decisions quickly, and are not afraid to fail. We have the scope and capabilities of a large company, and the spirit and heart of a small one. Together, Amazonians research and develop new technologies from Amazon Web Services to Alexa on behalf of our customers: shoppers, sellers, content creators, and developers around the world. Our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company. Our actions, goals, projects, programs, and inventions begin and end with the customer top of mind.
Building an Inclusive Culture
We are a company of builders who bring varying backgrounds, ideas, and points of view to inventing on behalf of all customers.
Our diverse perspectives are enriched by many dimensions, including race, ethnicity, gender, age, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, culture, language, and education, as well as professional and life experience.
We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and leveraging our unique perspectives to scale our impact and grow.
Working at Amazon
What unites Amazon employees across teams and geographies is that we are all striving to delight our customers and make their lives easier.
The scope and scale of our mission drives us to seek diverse perspectives, be resourceful, and navigate through ambiguity. Inventing and delivering things that were never thought possible isn't easy, but we embrace this challenge every day.
Internships for students
Whether you’re graduating with an undergraduate degree, Master’s degree, MBA or PhD, Amazon teams have internship positions available globally. Amazon internships are designed to provide students with an understanding of what it’s like to work at Amazon. Interns do work that makes a big impact—diving into products, programs, and services that touch millions of customers. Participants start with a comprehensive onboarding experience, have the opportunity to connect with other interns (in addition to their manager, mentor, and team), and wrap up their internship with a presentation of their project to Amazon employees.
