The Role: Host / Front of House

As the Host / Front of House Receptionist, you are the welcoming face and organisational heart of the Blink Brow Bar. You will be responsible for setting the luxurious and professional tone for every client visit, managing the client journey from greeting to farewell, and supporting the smooth operation of the bar.

Key Responsibilities

Client Experience & Hosting

  • Provide a Warm, Luxury Welcome: Greet all clients with genuine warmth and professionalism, immediately creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the brand's premium standard.
  • Manage the Client Journey: Efficiently manage the flow of clients, including walk-ins and appointments, ensuring clients are comfortable and informed of any waiting times.
  • Handle Bookings: Expertly manage the appointment book and scheduling system (both in-person and over the phone/email), ensuring efficient use of therapist time and reducing client wait times.
  • Information Hub: Be the go-to person for all client enquiries, providing detailed and confident information on all services, pricing, and the BBB London product range.
  • Final Impression: Process payments accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and bid farewell to clients, inviting them to re-book their next appointment.

Retail & Administrative Support

  • Drive Retail Sales: Actively promote and sell the award-winning BBB London retail products, ensuring product displays are immaculate and well-stocked.
  • Support Therapists: Assist the brow therapists by preparing client areas and managing administrative tasks so they can focus entirely on treatments.
  • Maintain Brow Bar Presentation: Ensure the reception, waiting area, and retail displays are clean, tidy, and beautifully presented at all times, upholding the brand's high visual standards.
  • Stock Management: Assist with basic stock control, including checking deliveries, organising stock rooms, and informing the Supervisor of low inventory levels.

Communication & Operational Excellence

  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication with the therapists and management team regarding client queues, scheduling changes, and any operational issues.
  • Problem Solving: Handle client feedback, issues, and minor complaints with diplomacy and a positive, solution-oriented approach, escalating only when necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all company policies, especially those related to data protection, client confidentiality, and health & safety.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience: Proven customer service experience, ideally within a high-end retail, luxury beauty, spa, or hospitality environment.
  • Customer Focus: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to connect with and anticipate the needs of a luxury clientele.
  • Organisational Skills: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competent in using booking systems, electronic Point of Sale (POS) software, and standard IT programs (e.g., email, Microsoft Office).
  • Brand Alignment: A polished, professional presentation and a positive, enthusiastic approach that embodies the luxury ethos of Blink Brow Bar.
