About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Information Advice and Guidance Adviser to provide practical guidance and support to members of the public (Deaf Community) on issues such as benefits, housing, council tax, debt, and other social services. The role involves assessing client needs, offering clear and impartial advice, and helping individuals access the support and services they are entitled to.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, impartial advice and guidance on benefits, housing, debt, council tax, and related areas.
Assist clients with applications, forms, and appeals.
Signpost clients to relevant services and agencies.
Maintain confidential client records and case notes.
Stay up-to-date with legislation, local services, and best practice guidance.
Requirements:
Certificate in Advice/Information Work (Level 2 or 3) or equivalent
Strong knowledge of welfare systems and social care.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with diverse communities and vulnerable individuals.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy.
