Our Marketing and Communications Volunteers are the voice of Future Youth Zone, sharing our story and impact with the wider community. They help promote the positive change we create for young people, contributing to a welcoming and vibrant environment through engaging content. In addition, they provide essential support in gathering stories, images, and stats, which allows us to showcase the achievements and experiences of our members, inspiring others to connect with and support our mission. Our Reception and Administration Volunteers are the face of our Youth Zone. They welcome in young people with a smiling face and a warm 'hello'. In addition to this, they provide us with vital administrative support that allows us to run sessions for young people that build their confidence, social skills and overall wellbeing. Acting as the first point of contact for Young People coming into the Youth Zone Helping with administrative tasks such as; admission for members, giving tours and answering queries Helping to maintain cleanliness and organisation within the reception area Handling telephone and potential email enquiries Ensuring new members are welcomed in and introduced to the appropriate member of staff Building positive relationships with young people across the youth zone Working collaboratively with the reception team and other members of staff to support the delivery of sessions Acting as a positive role model for young people Promoting an inclusive culture where...

Support the maintenance and upkeep of Future Youth Zone by assisting with minor repairs, cleaning, and setting up spaces for activities. Ensure the safety and security of the building by helping with opening/closing procedures, checking alarms, and securing areas as needed. Conduct and log periodic checks on facilities, such as lighting, alarms, and plumbing, to maintain a safe and operational environment. Monitor and assist contractors on maintenance tasks, ensuring all work meets agreed standards and is documented appropriately. Set up equipment and prepare rooms for events and youth activities, supporting staff as needed with these preparations. Assist in managing cleaning supplies, maintaining standards, and providing basic cleaning support when required. Act as a positive role model for youth, upholding a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment while following safeguarding and safety procedures.
