Job Role

The purpose of our Third Party Risk Management Lead role is to support the business to adopt and embed the TPRM framework whilst developing TPRM processes, policies, governance and reporting frameworks to support the rollout of TPRM across the organisation and develop and rollout training to support the TPRM framework implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and ongoing operation of the TPRM framework at MIB, as a comprehensive approach to managing risk and driving value from our key third party service providers.
  • Lead the delivery of foundational TPRM implementation activity, including checking the data within the third party contracts database for completeness and accuracy, ensuring Third Party Accountable Executives (TPAE) and Third Party Relationship Owners (TPRO) are assigned for all third parties, tiering third parties in line with the TPRM framework classification criteria, and ensuring all relevant TPRM processes are adequately documented.
  • Act as an expert and advisor on TPRM providing support, challenge and guidance to all business areas and the central functions (Procurement and Third Party Management, Legal, Finance etc).
  • Provide peer-to-peer guidance, challenge and support to the central team in their delivery of Procurement services and Third Party management support to the business.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders throughout the business, including those at a senior leadership and Executive-level.
  • Develop TPRM training materials and lead the delivery of TPRM workshops and training sessions across the business.
  • Ensure appropriate policies, controls and processes are in place to support adherence to the TPRM framework across MIB.
  • Lead the design and implementation of a TPRM governance (oversight) framework, including management working group, steering committee, reporting pack and a suite of underlying success measures and KPIs, to enable ongoing compliance monitoring and reporting.
  • Leverage data analytics opportunities to deliver greater insight, value and drive the right behaviours.
  • Identify and implement process and system enhancements as required, to drive TPRM maturity and ongoing continuous improvement.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Procurement and third party management experience in either complex IT services (SAAS), technology and infrastructure, or insurance / financial services.
  • Experience of leading organisational change and transformation, particularly TPRM framework implementation and/or Procurement maturity programmes.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to effectively prioritise competing demands under pressure, deliver according to committed timelines and work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Highly credible subject matter expert, who is comfortable to challenge, and with excellent influencing skills and the gravitas to establish trust and confidence of senior stakeholders (TPAEs and TPROs) at senior leadership and Executive level.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to translate complex technical subject matter into clear, concise and impactful information that drives the right business outcomes.
  • Experience of leading procurement and third-party management activity in large-scale strategic change programmes.
  • Good understanding of the principles of risk management, control and assurance, particularly as related to TPRM, including (but not limited to) data privacy, information security, financial risk management and business continuity.
  • Highly enthusiastic and visible leader, able to drive high levels of engagement of accountable individuals within the TPRM process.

Salary £60,000.00 per annum

FTC for 12 months

Grade 12

35 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
