Aero Tec Laboratories craft flexible fuel tanks for many industries, including motorsport, automotive, marine, aerospace, defence and aviation. We are the leading manufacturer in our field and currently supply Formula One and Le Mans.

Job Role

Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production, reporting all shortages or misaligned deliveries. Coordinating with other departments such as engineering, production, stores, logistics, to ensure that materials are available when needed. Coordinating with Resource Planning regarding production goals, timelines etc.

Main Duties

  • Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders.
  • Analysis of MRP data to ensure the company are procuring material within cost constraints.
  • Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products, coordinating with Stores team.
  • Managing schedule changes, and cancellations as directed by the Planning Resource function.
  • Creating forecasts for materials requirements, including estimating seasonal fluctuations demand using SIOP/ S&OP process.
  • Reviewing inventory levels of materials and ordering additional quantities when necessary, based on business requirements and output from SIOP / S&OP.
  • Ensuring that materials are delivered on time and are of high quality.
  • Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
  • Monitoring costs associated with materials purchases and maintaining records of expenditures.
  • Creating past due reports and driving resolution with Stores Team.
  • Update daily chases with accurate material shortage information.
  • Creation of works orders and their communication to relevant functional areas.
  • Use environmentally sustainable practices in accordance with our environmental policy.
  • Seek ways to reduce waste and energy usage in accordance with our environmental objectives.

Job Requirements 

  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience within a manufacturing environment as a Planner / Scheduler.

Knowledge and Skills 

  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel and strong MS Project skills.
  • Inquisitive and continuous improvement mindset.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads.

The Package

  • Salary £30,000 - £34,000 per annum, depending on relevant experience
