Job Title:            LEAD QA ANALYST

Reports to:         HEAD OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT

Salary:                £35,000 to £45,000

Location:            Shoreham-on-Sea (Hybrid - 1 day a week in office)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Lead QA Analyst to join our high performing and friendly in-house Software Team. 

This opportunity will involve collaborating with the Head of Software to evolve a QA strategy and helping to further drive our QA automation process.  The role will also involve working alongside our existing QA Analyst supporting on in-flight projects and enhancements to ensure new works are meeting our expected quality.

Principal Responsibilities/Duties 

  • Create test plans against acceptance criteria from scope documents using TestRail. 
  • Integrate and write automated tests where applicable using Cypress. 
  • Undertake acceptance testing and raising effective Jira issues for any items that do not pass. 
  • Undertake regression and smoke testing. 
  • Ensure the performance of the internal services and applications are measured and effective. 
  • Effective collaboration with the development team, communicating and escalating if items do not meet acceptance criteria or standards. 
  • Effective collaboration with key internal stakeholders (engineering, marketing, operations, sales etc.) to ensure the UAT process is effective.  
  • Creation and maintenance of supporting process documentation. 
  • Shared ownership of the release notes process and ensuring deliverables passing QA are scheduled for release. 
  • Management responsibility of QA Analyst(s) 

 

Requirements

Essential Skills 

  • Ability to build meaningful, working relationships with colleagues and supplier partners. 
  • Proven experience in a QA or equivalent role. 
  • Customer focused with a desire to understand and deliver customers’ requirements. 
  • Experience of the software development life cycle. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to analyse complex data with a high level of attention to detail. 
  • Process driven and analytical with an eye for detail. 
  • Passionate about delivering high quality products and ensuring standards are met. 
  • Team player and enjoy problem solving. 
  • You’re a strong communicator that can discuss and explain complex technical issues. 
  • Demonstrate that you are a critical thinker, who can think of potentially impactful discrepancies, track progress and help suggest resolutions. 
  • Organised and a self-starter. 
  • Hands on and enjoy having the flexibility to implement. 

 

Desired Skills 

  • Relevant industry experience. 
  • Experience with billing software / CRM software. 
  • Experience within a Software Development environment.
