We’re a multi award-winning contract catering company, with a team of trained foodies serving over 45,500 satisfied customers every day. We now have an exciting opportunity for a trained Barista to join our team.
You know that preparing delicious hot beverages is something of an art form, and you’ll have the communication skills required for your role too – consistently positive, enthusiastic, helpful and ready to adapt to changing service needs. Whether that’s managing the queue if there’s a rush of customers, or serving someone with a food
allergy.
Our coffee bar concept rivals major high street competitors both in terms of what we offer, and because our customer service standards are high, and you’ll ensure these standards are always maintained. You see customers as individuals and can readily respond to their requests, ensuring they’re engaged when they arrive at the counter and stay that way until they leave – feeling happy and ready to recommend us to others.
You’ll come to us with confidence in cash handling and using tills, plus you will know how important good merchandising and stock rotation is – making sure our tempting food is available throughout the day. We’d prefer you to have experience in a service environment dealing with customers, and we will provide you with the training and development you need to grow your career with us.

Our founders, Wendy Bartlett and Ian Mitchell, gave us much more than our initials. They created a contract catering company that genuinely respects and values its clients and its team, and keeps a deep love of food at the heart of its operations.
These principles live on, as the next generation leads the company. Joint Managing Directors Angus Brydon and Antony Prentice continue Wendy and Ian’s legacy of investing in strong, long-term relationships with our clients and supplier partners. When you work with us, you’ll soon experience our belief in the personal touch – how our business is all about partnership.
We energise workplaces. Through the food and drink we offer, we enhance the employee experience, helping you attract and retain the right staff. And we do this for all kinds of organisations, tailoring our services to a wide range of needs – whether you want an all-day restaurant, a lively café or exquisite fine dining, with everything prepared on-site or delivered to your door. We also recognise the importance of value for money, and work creatively to find new ways to reduce costs and use resources more efficiently.
It’s a simple equation: happy people provide excellent service. Which is why we’ve made BM such a brilliant place to work, offering a healthy work-life balance and a host of team benefits. And it’s good to have this recognised by those who matter – our team gave us the highest Glassdoor score in our industry, 4.6 out of a possible 5. Also, we’ve remained on the Best Companies list for the last 10 years, again because of our team members.
From sourcing responsibly and reducing waste to supporting our communities, sustainability and ethics are central to everything we do. And our words are matched by measurable actions, helping us become the only contract caterer to achieve Ecovadis Gold, the first to achieve Planet Mark certification, and the first to be named the Sustainable Restaurant Association’s ‘Sustainable Caterer of the Year’ three years in succession.
We serve 40,000 customers every day, in nearly 100 UK locations. And these numbers are set to grow, with the backing and resources of the WSH group, where we operate independently alongside other leading hospitality brands. Most importantly, our focus on building fruitful partnerships has earned us a 98 per cent client-retention rate, reflecting the effectiveness of our flexible, tailored catering services – which we provide for businesses across a broad range of sectors, including finance, legal, education, media, health and technology.
