Job Title - IT Network Field Engineer

Department - Enterprise Technical

Salary - Up to £36,000 (DOE)

Location - Shoreham-by-Sea

We are now recruiting for an IT Network Field Engineer.

The Focus Enterprise team delivers complex and bespoke technical solutions for Focus Group’ large customers, as part of Focus Group’ major customer revenue stream. You'll be joining a team of experienced network consultants. You’ll take personal pride and satisfaction from the successful delivery of a range of technologies, including SDWAN, LAN, WiFi, Firewall to name a few. The role is focussed on the physical delivery of high-end network solutions. You are the primary contact for onsite technical or delivery challenges, are customer facing and will be supported by central, senior network engineers.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Interface with management, colleagues, clients and vendors to physically implement network solutions to meet stated project requirements.
  • Work with senior network engineers on the deployment, installation and configuration of complex network solutions
  • Liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis
  • Audit and document client infrastructure
  • Stage (design and configure) devices for client solutions
  • Perform system and user acceptance testing (SAT and UAT)
  • Complete documentation paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Perform out of hours support as part of the field team and on call rota as agreed.
  • Attain and maintain personal certification levels to ensure compliance with partnership programs and to demonstrate competency to clients.
  • Have opportunities to develop your skills as an engineer, gain certifications and learn as part of a very technical team.

Requirements

  • Cisco Meraki CMNA (demonstrable)
  • Cisco Routing and Switching to CCNA (or CCNP) (demonstrable)
  • Other technology specialisations
  • Full clean Driving License

Please note - this role is predominately field based, with occasional office visits and working from home. The roles includes opportunity for significant overtime and on-call.
