Reporting to Operational Data Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational data we hold is accurate and complete. You will have responsibility for the insertion and ongoing maintenance of cost prices whilst taking a key role in governing the product operational data we require.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately inputting data into our systems and/or checking data that others have inputted
  • Maintaining our data systems, including sense-checking data, amending data, seeking out missing information to ensure data is correct and on time
  • Analysing data maintain quality ensuring that our suppliers are conforming to the standards required. Support suppliers via the supplier portal
  • Proactively collating any data that may be missing
  • Be able to interpret data in order to translate the information into formats used by others
  • Resolve and understand basic system issues. Undertake journey testing as and when required.
  • Suggesting and delivering improvements to our data processes, to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide efficient and effective data handling within agreed timescales
  • Check data for any inconsistences all relevant fields have been / are filled in correctly
  • Liaise with internal departments to identify and resolve problems that arise from product data and the system structure
  • At the direction of the Operational Data Team leader, working on ad-hoc projects to change/improve the ways in which we collect and manage data.
  • Support other team members in dealing with escalated issues and problems
  • Recommend process improvements to improve speed and accuracy
  • Think ‘outside the box’, challenging the norm when looking at solving problems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in gathering, analysing and interpreting large amounts of data
  • Highly numerate with the ability to identify errors in data and make necessary recommendations
  • Demonstrable experience of working within a deadline driven environment
  • PIM system experience is desirable
  • Excellent Excel skills - ability to perform data manipulations and an understanding of VLOOKUP & XLOOKUP
