Reporting to the Design & Delivery Manager and working under the guidance of a Team Lead, the Senior Programmer Analyst will be responsible for the ongoing support and development of new and updated software applications, enabling the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador to provide services to its citizens. As part of the Mainframe Applications Team, you will have the opportunity to leverage a collaborative approach while working within a mainframe systems environment and assisting with modernization efforts.
The Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism (OIM) is a division under the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador's Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills.
OIM assists skilled workers, international graduates and entrepreneurs in obtaining permanent residency in Canada via provincial immigration pathways - the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
OIM also assists local employers who are experiencing workforce challenges in recruiting and retaining qualified skilled candidates via the NLPNP and the AIP.
