Our Client is looking for a creative, innovative, and dedicated Head of Science to drive achievement, inspire colleagues, and ignite a lifelong love of science in every student.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established and forward-thinking department, supported by a Second in Charge and subject-specific Heads of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in shaping the future of science education at the school—building on recent successes and driving further improvement.
Lead the strategic development and day-to-day management of the Science department
Cultivate a culture of collaboration, high expectations, and continuous improvement among staff
Ensure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across all science disciplines and key stages
Analyse and utilise student performance data to inform planning, intervention, and progress tracking
Drive innovation in curriculum design and champion extracurricular opportunities that enhance students’ scientific understanding and engagement
A dynamic and experienced Science educator with proven leadership capabilities or the clear potential to lead
Strong subject expertise across one or more scientific disciplines, and a passion for promoting science education
A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment and raising standards for all learners
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff
A forward-thinking mindset, eager to contribute to whole-school improvement and innovation
